Overview

DANAPAROID SODIUM is a Schedule H drug.
This medication is an anticoagulant (blood thinner), prescribed for deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolism and to prevent the formation of blood clots. Danaparoid is used in the treatment of thrombocytopenia. It is used to thin the blood so that clots will not form.

Precautions

  • Caution should be exercised in patients with history of bleeding disorder, stroke, liver or kidney problems, high blood pressure, infections, ulcer, recent surgery, any allergy, during pregnancy and lactation.
  • You may bleed more easily. Be careful and avoid injury. Use a soft toothbrush and an electric razor
  • Avoid excess dosage.
  • If you are 60 or older, use danaparoid with care. You could have more side effects.
  • Do not take 2 doses at the same time or extra doses.

Common Side-Effects

DANAPAROID SODIUM : Gums Bleeding, Dizziness, Head Headache, Black (tar) Colored Stools, Dark Colored (brown) Urine

Serious Side-Effects

DANAPAROID SODIUM : Paralysis, Bloody Or Red Colored Vomit, Difficulty Breathing, Difficulty Swallowing, Vagina Bleeding, Shortness Of Breath

Rare Side-Effects

DANAPAROID SODIUM : Back Pain, Burning Sensation, Legs Weakness

DANAPAROID SODIUM can interfere with: Hemophilia, Acute Liver Failure, Peptic Ulcer, Diabetic Retinopathy, Hypertensive Retinopathy, Infective Endocarditis, Hypertension, Acute Renal Failure
