Precautions

  • You should not take mirtazapine if you are also taking tryptophan
  • Do not use mirtazapine if you have used a MAO inhibitor in the past 14 days.
  • Mirtazapine may impair your thinking or reactions. Be careful if you drive or do anything that requires you to be alert.
  • You should not take this medicine if you are allergic to mirtazapine.
  • Follow all directions on your prescription label.
  • Do not take this medicine in larger or smaller amounts or for longer than recommended.Mirtazapine is usually taken once a day at bedtime. Follow your doctor’s instructions.
  • Take the regular tablet form of mirtazapine with water.
  • Do not stop using mirtazapine suddenly, or you could have unpleasant withdrawal symptoms. Ask your doctor how to safely stop using this medicine.
  • Avoid in unstable cases, epilepsy or history of seizures.
  • If your doctor asks you to stop Mirtazapine, you should reduce the dose slowly over 4 weeks. You should not discontinue it abruptly.

Symptoms of Overdosage

MIRTAZAPINE over-dosage can result in: Drowsiness, Memory Problems, Confusion, Rapid Heart Rate (pulse)
