LEVOMILNACIPRAN is a Schedule H drug.
Levomilnacipran is a selective serotonin and norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor antidepressant.Levomilnacipran is used to treat major depressive disorder.It may take several weeks before you see the full benefit of this medication.which work by increasing serotonin and norepinephrine levels in the brain to maintain mental balance and improve mood.A similar medicine called milnacipran is used to treat a chronic pain disorder called fibromyalgia. Levomilnacipran  should not be used to treat fibromyalgia.

Precautions

  • You should not use levomilnacipran if you have untreated or uncontrolled narrow-angle glaucoma.
  • Do not use levomilnacipran within 7 days before or 14 days after you have taken an MAO inhibitor.
  • You should not use this medicine if you are allergic to levomilnacipran or milnacipran.
  • Follow all directions on your prescription label. Your doctor may occasionally change your dose to make sure you get the best results.
  • Do not take this medicine in larger or smaller amounts or for longer than recommended.You may take levomilnacipran with or without food.
  • Do not crush, chew, break, or open a levomilnacipran capsule. Swallow it whole.
  • Your blood pressure and heart rate will need to be checked often.
  • Do not stop using levomilnacipran suddenly, or you could have unpleasant withdrawal symptoms.
  • Do not take extra medicine to make up the missed dose.
  • This medication may impair your thinking or reactions. Be careful if you drive or do anything that requires you to be alert.
