Cefoperazone injection is used to treat bacterial infections in the different parts of the body.It works by killing bacteria or preventing their growth. However, cefoperazone will not work for colds, flu, or other virus infections.It kills bacteria by preventing them from forming the bacterial protective covering which is needed for them to survive.

CEFOPERAZONE SODIUM is generally used to treat: Bacterial Infection, Respiratory Infection, Urinary Tract Infection, Endometriosis, Pelvic Inflammatory Disease, Bacterial Pneumonia, Salmonellosis (Salmonella Infections), Bone Infection

Precautions for KEPHAZON 2G VIAL and its Constituents


  • You should not use Cefoperazone,if you are allergic to it.
  • Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better.Discontinue Cefoperazone and inform your doctor immediately if you get a rash, itchy skin, swelling of face and mouth, or have difficulty in breathing.
  • Diarrhea may occur as a side effect but should stop when your course is complete. Inform your doctor if it doesn’t stop or if you find blood in your stools.
  • If you’re on blood thinners, Cefoperazone can interact with your medications and increase your bleeding tendencies.
  • Using cefoperazone with any of the following medicines is usually not recommended.
  • Do not take other medicines unless they have been discussed with your doctor.
  • Do not take cefoperazone,without medical advice.
