CLOBACT-SC OINT is composed of: UREA (10 %W/W), LACTIC ACID (3 %W/W), SALICYLAMIDE (3 %W/W), SODIUM ACETATE (2 %W/W), CLOBETASOL PROPIONATE (0.05 %W/W)


This medication is a chemical compound, prescribed for dry skin (Xerosis). The cream works by increasing the water content in the skin making the skin softer. 



Sodium Acetate is used in the treatment of nutritional deficiencies.Sodium Acetate provides essential nutrients.It is used in the diet to meet sodium needs.

Clobetasol is a highly potent steroid. It reduces the actions of chemicals in the body that cause inflammation. Clobetasol topical (for the skin) is used to treat the inflammation and itching caused by a number of skin conditions such as allergic reactions, eczema, and psoriasis.

LACTIC ACID is generally used to treat: Dermatitis, Dry Skin, Itchy Skin, Ichthyosis Vulgaris


SODIUM ACETATE is generally used to treat: Hyponatremia

Precautions for CLOBACT-SC OINT and its Constituents



  • For external use only.
  • Avoid contact with eyes, lips and mucous membranes.
  • Take precautions to avoid swallowing lactic acid.
  • Avoid application to sensitive, inflamed or irritated skin as a mild stinging, burning or peeling may occur.
  • Seek immediate medical attention if you experience irritation or any other symptoms of allergy.• Avoid direct exposure to sun or use protective clothing as lactic acid may increase sensitivity to sun.
  • Tell your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to be pregnant or are breastfeeding.
  • Do not take if allergic to lactic acid or any of its ingredients.
  • Sun exposure  to area of skin treated with Lactic Acid Creme should be minimized or avoided.
  • Wash your hands thoroughly after applying this medication.


  • You should not use sodium acetate,If you are allergic to it.
  • Use sodium acetate as ordered by your doctor.
  • It is given as an infusion into a vein over a period of time.

Do not use clobetasol topical to treat any condition that has not been checked by your doctor. Avoid using clobetasol topical to treat skin on your face, underarms, or groin area without your doctor’s advice. Avoid getting this medicine in your eyes. If contact does occur, rinse with water. Do not use clobetasol topical on broken or infected skin. Also avoid using this medicine in open wounds.
