LABOGESIC MR TAB is a Schedule H drug.

LABOGESIC MR TAB is composed of: PARACETAMOL (325 MG), CHLORZOXAZONE (250 MG), DICLOFENAC SODIUM (50 MG)

Paracetamol is a pain reliever and a fever reducer. The exact mechanism of action of is not known. Paracetamol is used to treat many conditions such as a headache, muscle aches, arthritis, backache, toothaches, colds, and fevers. It relieves pain in mild arthritis but has no effect on the underlying inflammation and swelling of the joint.

Chlorzoxazone is a muscle relaxer that blocks pain sensations between the nerves and the brain.Chlorzoxazone is used together with rest and physical therapy to treat skeletal muscle conditions such as pain or injury.Chlorzoxazone is used for muscle relaxation. It relieves painful spasms of the skeletal muscles.Chlorzoxazone is a muscle relaxant. It works on the centres in the brain and spinal cord to relieve muscle stiffness or spasm without reduction in strength. This improves pain and movement of muscles.It is usually used along with rest, physical therapy, and other treatment. It works by helping to relax the muscles.

Diclofenac Sodium is an anti-inflammatory painkiller. This non-steroidal drug is used to alleviate symptoms of arthritis such as inflammation, pain, fever and swollen joints. It is used in the treatment of conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylosis and severe menstrual pain. Diclofenac Sodium works by obstructing the production of cyclooxygenase, which synthesizes the compound called prostaglandin. This compound is responsible for symptoms of arthritis such as pain, swelling and inflammation. .

How Do I Take It?

LABOGESIC MR TAB is generally taken After Food.

Precautions


Caution should be exercised in patients with history of asthma, bleeding problems, growths in the nose, heart, kidney or liver disease, liver inflammation, high blood pressure, chickenpox, anxiety, trouble in sleeping, ulcers, stomach problems, stroke, Kawasaki syndrome, any allergy, who are taking other medications, during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Avoid alcohol consumption. It should not be used in children with infections such as flu, chickenpox or viral infections. Avoid large amount of caffeinated beverages while taking this medication. It may reduce platelet counts; avoid injury or bruising.
  • Chlorzoxazone can increase the effects of other CNS depressants (alcohol, barbiturates) medicine.
  • Avoid consuming alcohol when taking the Chlorzoxazone, as it may cause excessive drowsiness and calmness.
  • Inform your doctor if you have ever been diagnosed with kidney or liver problems.
  • Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to conceive or breastfeeding.
  • Follow all directions on your medicine label and package.You should not use chlorzoxazone if you are allergic to it.
  • Follow all directions on your prescription label. Your doctor may occasionally change your dose.
  • Do not use this medicine in larger or smaller amounts or for longer than recommended.
  • Chlorzoxazone is usually taken 3 or 4 times per day.
  • Chlorzoxazone is only part of a complete program of treatment that may also include rest, physical therapy, or other pain relief measures.
  • Follow your doctor’s instructions.Caution needed for patients with history of allergic reactions, liver disease, pregnancy and breastfeeding.
  • Do not drink alcohol while taking this medication.
  • Monitor liver function regularly.

  • Pregnant women, women trying to conceive, smokers and alcoholics should avoid taking Diclofenac Sodium, since it can have harmful effects.
  • Avoid taking aspirin or other NSAIDs while you are taking this medicine.
  • If you use diclofenac long-term, you may need frequent medical tests.
  • Take Diclofenac sodium on an empty stomach, at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after a meal.
  • Do not crush, chew, or break an extended-release tablet or delayed-release tablet. Swallow it whole.
  • Dissolve diclofenac sodium powder in to 2 ounces of water. Do not use any other type of liquid. Stir this mixture and drink all of it right away. It works best if you take it on an empty stomach.
  • It is not known whether diclofenac passes into breast milk or if it could harm a nursing baby. You should not breast-feed while using this medicine.
  • Do not use this medicine just before or after heart bypass surgery (coronary artery bypass graft).

DICLOFENAC SODIUM over-dosage can result in: Abdomen Pain, Vomit, Drowsiness, Difficulty Breathing, Seizures (uncontrollable Jerking Of Limbs)
