Food and Nutrition

Foods to be taken
  • Grains, rice, pasta, beans, breads, dairy products, sweet drinks and juices. Fresh vegetables and fresh fruits should be taken.
Foods to be avoided
  • Fired, spicy, sour and excessive sweet foods
  • Citrus fruits (lemon, lime, orange), chutneys, sauces, pickled food, mustard and vinegar
  • White flour such as bread, cakes, pastries, pizza
  • Artificial foods, fast foods, cola drinks. Tomatoes, excessive salt
  • Non- veg foods should be avoided completely
  • Tea, coffee, alcohol and smoking
  • Milk products like yogurt 

Home Remedies

  • To speed up healing, wear thin, light and loose clothes
  • Wash the affected area daily and dry it well afterward. After showering, towel your body first and ringworm affected areas last.
  • Cover your ringworm infected areas with a sterile bandage or some clothing, while you are with people to prevent contamination of the infection.
  • Cut some fresh slices of papaya and work them on the ringworm patches.
