Foods to be taken
  • Raw fruits like apple, pears, bananas etc
  • Fresh vegetables
  • Unheated oil or ghee
  • For children, breast milk                                              
Foods to be avoided
  • Acid producing foods like beef, chicken, pork
  • Dairy products
  • Corn chips, pastry, white rice and white flour pastas (high sugar content)
  • Bread containing yeast
  • Artificial sweeteners
  • Soya 
  • Egg
  • Nuts

Exercise and meditation or other stress management techniques can help those for whom stress is a trigger. While for others, only problem with exercise is that the resultant sweating generally causes itching. 

Home Remedies

  • Use a mild soap or body cleanser.
  • Use warm water (not hot).
  • Follow the medication prescribed by the doctor without negligence.
  • Use effective moisturiser which prevents dryness of skin.
  • Proper, clean and hygienic diet should be maintained.
  • Keep the affected area as clean, dry and protected as possible.
  • Apply steroid creams until rash has completely goes away.
