Vismodegib is a cancer medicine that interferes with the growth of certain cancer cells in the body. Vismodegib is used to treat basal cell carcinoma that has spread to other parts of the body.

How Do I Take It?

Route of Administration: Oral

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with history of liver or kidney impairment, children, elderly, during pregnancy and breastfeeding.  Avoid blood donation while taking this medication.
Male patients are advised to use condom with a spermicide, during sex with a female partner.Do not donate blood while taking vismodegib and for 7 months after your treatment ends. Do not donate sperm (semen) while taking vismodegib and for 3 months after your treatment ends.
vismodegib can pass into body fluids (urine, feces, vomit). Caregivers should wear rubber gloves while cleaning up a patient’s body fluids, handling contaminated trash or laundry or changing diapers. Wash hands before and after removing gloves. Wash soiled clothing and linens separately from other laundry.

VISMODEGIB : Diarrhoea, Body Muscle Cramps Or Spasms (painful), Hair Loss, Decreased Taste, Weight Loss (unintentional), Fatigue (tiredness), Nausea, Loss Of Appetite, Vomit, Arms Joint Pain, Constipation

VISMODEGIB : Irregular Menstrual Periods
