Precautions


  • You should not use pindolol if you have asthma, or if you have a serious heart condition such as AV block.
  • You should not use pindolol if you are allergic to it.Follow all directions on your prescription label. Your doctor may occasionally change your dose. Do not use this medicine in larger or smaller amounts or for longer than recommended.
  • Your blood pressure will need to be checked often.
  • Keep using this medicine as directed, even if you feel well.
  • Do not stop using pindolol suddenly, or you could have unpleasant withdrawal symptoms.
  • Do not take extra medicine to make up the missed dose.This medicine may impair your thinking or reactions. Be careful if you drive or do anything that requires you to be alert.
  • Avoid getting up too fast from a sitting or lying position, or you may feel dizzy. Get up slowly and steady yourself to prevent a fall.
  • The Pindolol may affect your blood sugar and cover up the symptoms of low blood sugar if you have diabetes.
  • Pindolol may reduce blood flow to your hands and feet, causing them to feel cold. Smoking may worsen this effect. Dress warmly and avoid the use of tobacco.

Food Interactions


Using pindolol together with multivitamin with minerals may decrease the effects of pindolol. Separate the administration times of pindolol and multivitamin with minerals by at least 2 hours.
