FLUTIBACT OINT is composed of: MUPIROCIN (2 %W/W), FLUTICASONE (0.005 %W/W)

Mupirocin is an antibiotic and treats skin infectionsThis medication is an antibiotic, prescribed for impetigo. It works by stopping the production of essential proteins needed for bacterial surveillance. It is not effective against fungal or viral infections. It works by stopping the growth of certain bacteria.Safety and efficacy have not been established in patients younger than 2 months (topical ointment), 3 months (topical cream), or 12 years (nasal ointment).



Fluticasone is a corticosteroid used to treat symptoms associated with asthma, nasal symptoms associated with allergies, and certain skin conditions. Fluticasone is available in different forms.Fluticasone is a steroid. It prevents the release of substances in the body that cause inflammation.Fluticasone inhalation is used to prevent asthma attacks. This medicine will not treat an asthma attack that has already begun. Fluticasone inhalation is sometimes used together with steroid medicine taken by mouth.Flovent brands of fluticasone inhalation are for use in adults and children who are at least 4 years old. The Arnuity Ellipta and ArmonAir brands are for adults and children who are at least 12 years old.Fluticasone is used in the treatment of severe allergic reactions, allergy symptoms, skin disorders and oral lichen planus.Fluticasone is a steroid which works by blocking the production of certain chemical messengers in the body that cause inflammation (redness and swelling) and allergies.

Precautions for FLUTIBACT OINT and its Constituents


  • You should not use mupirocin nasal if you are allergic to mupirocin.
  • Follow all directions on your prescription label and read all medication guides or instruction sheets. Use the medicine exactly as directed.
  • Do not take by mouth. Nasal medicine is for use only in the nose. If this medicine gets in your eyes or mouth, rinse with water.
  • Wash your hands before and after applying mupirocin nasal.
  • Use one half of the medicine from a single-use tube in each nostril, then throw the tube away.
  • With the ointment in your nostrils, gently press on the sides of your nose and rub for about 1 minute to help spread the ointment inside your nose.
  • Use this medicine for the full prescribed length of time, even if your symptoms quickly improve.
  • Mupirocin will not treat a viral infection such as the flu or a common cold.Do not use two doses at one time.
  • Do not use other nasal medications during treatment with mupirocin nasal unless your doctor tells you to.
  • Do not apply on open wounds.

  • Take with food to avoid an upset stomach.
  • Dose is decreased or tapered over time.Most side effects occur with high doses and on long-term use.
  • Your risk of getting an infection may become higher. Tell your doctor immediately if you have a fever, flu-like symptoms, cough, painful urination, or a wound that does not heal.
  • You should not use the inhalation powder if you are allergic to milk proteins.
  • You should not use this medicine if you are allergic to fluticasone.
  • Follow all directions on your prescription label.
  • Do not use this medicine in larger or smaller amounts or for longer than recommended.
  • Do not allow a young child to use this medicine without help from an adult.
  • To reduce the chance of developing a yeast infection in your mouth, rinse with water (but do not swallow) after using this medicine. Pay special attention to your dental hygiene.
  • Fluticasone can cause cavities or tooth discoloration.
  • You should not stop using fluticasone inhalation suddenly. Stopping suddenly may make your condition worse.

FLUTICASONE over-dosage can result in: Irregular Menstrual Periods, Difficulty Breathing, Fainting, Loss Of Appetite, Fatigue (tiredness)
