Home Remedies

  • Try to choose a seat where you will experience the least motion.
  • Sit in the front seat of a car.
  • Open a vent or source of fresh air if possible.
  • Keep your head still, while resting against a seat back.
  • Drink plenty of water.
  • Focus on the horizon or on a distant, stationary object. Do not read.
  • By chewing gum you can get relief from common and mild car sickness.
  • Practice acupressure- Apply gentle pressure on your forearm (between the two tendons) about 3cm (about an inch) or so back from the wrist joint. This temporarily delays nausea. You can also use wrist bands for this.
