URIMAX F CAP is composed of: FINASTERIDE (5 MG), TAMSULOSIN (0.4 MG)

Finasteride prevents the conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone (DHT) in the body. DHT is involved in the development of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH).Finasteride is used to treat male pattern hair loss in men. It is also used to treat symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) in men with an enlarged prostate.This medicine is for use in men only.Finasteride (topical) is used in the treatment of hair loss. It may be used alone or taken in combination with other medications to reduce symptoms of BPH and may also reduce the need for surgery.Finasteride should never be taken by a woman or a child.
Tamsulosin is an alpha-blocker that relaxes the muscles in the prostate and bladder neck, making it easier to urinate.Tamsulosin is used to improve urination in men with benign prostatic hyperplasia.Tamsulosin is not approved for use in women or children.

How Do I Take It?

URIMAX F CAP is generally taken After Food.

Precautions for URIMAX F CAP and its Constituents


  • Your doctor has prescribed Finasteride (topical) to shrink the enlarged prostate and reduce the risk of urinary retention.
  • It may take 3 to 6 months to see the full beneficial effect of Finasteride (topical). Hence, continue taking the medicine as advised by your doctor.Finasteride (topical) is usually well tolerated. However, it may produce some mild sexual side effects such as low sexual drive.
  • Do not donate blood for 6 months after taking the last dose of Finasteride (topical).
  • You should not use finasteride if you are allergic to it.If a woman accidentally comes into contact with a broken or crushed tablet, wash the area with soap and water right away.
  • Follow all directions on your prescription label.
  • Do not take this medicine in larger or smaller amounts or for longer than recommended.
  • Take this medicine with a full glass of water.
  • Finasteride can be taken with or without food.
  • Take the medicine at the same time each day.

  • You should not use this medication if you are allergic to tamsulosin.
  • Do not take tamsulosin together with similar medicines such as alfuzosin, doxazosin,prazosin , silodosin or terazosin.
  • Take tamsulosin exactly as it was prescribed for you. Follow all directions on your prescription label. Your doctor may occasionally change your dose to make sure you get the best results.
  • Do not take this medicine in larger or smaller amounts or for longer than recommended.Tamsulosin is usually taken once a day, approximately 30 minutes after a meal. Try to take this medication at the same time each day.
  • Do not crush, chew, or open a capsule. Swallow the capsule whole.
  • Your blood pressure will need to be checked often.
  • If you stop taking tamsulosin for any reason, call your doctor before you start taking it again.You may need a dose adjustment.
  • Do not take extra medicine to make up the missed dose.
  • Tamsulosin may impair your thinking or reactions. Be careful if you drive or do anything that requires you to be alert.
  • Avoid getting up too fast from a sitting or lying position, or you may feel dizzy. Get up slowly and steady yourself to prevent a fall.To prevent dizziness, avoid standing for long periods of time or becoming overheated during exercise and in hot weather.
  • Drinking alcohol can increase certain side effects of tamsulosin.
