Ketoconazole is an antifungal medication. It kills fungi by destroying the fungal cell membrane. This treats your infection. Ketoconazole is used in the treatment of fungal infections.

Cetrimide is used to prevent infections.Cetrimide is an antiseptic which treats infection in the affected area and relieves irritation.

Precautions for SAROT 0.5%/2% LTN and its Constituents


Caution should be exercised in patients with history of liver disease, alcoholism, blood problems (eg, prophyria), any allergy, who are taking other medications, during pregnancy and breastfeeding. It may cause dizziness or drowsiness, do not drive a car or operate machinery while taking this medication. It may affect blood sugar level; monitor sugar level regularly.
  • Do not use cetrimide for a long period and repeatedly as it may cause allergic reactions.
  • Cetrimide is for topical use only. Avoid contact with mucous membrane such mouth, nose, ears, anus, or vagina.
  • Seek immediate medical attention if you develop severe allergic reactions.
  • Consult your doctor if your condition does not improve or worsens after cetrimide application.Tell your doctor if you are or planning to become pregnant or are breastfeeding.
  •  Excessive usage may increase the risk of allergic reactions.
