MEGASCAB LTN is composed of: CETRIMIDE ( ), LINDANE ( )

Cetrimide is used to prevent infections.Cetrimide is an antiseptic which treats infection in the affected area and relieves irritation.

Lindane is an anti-parasite medicine. Lindane topical (for the skin) kills certain parasites that live or lay eggs in your skin or hair. Lindane topical shampoo is used to treat head lice or pubic lice ("crabs"). Lindane topical lotion is used to treat scabies.

Precautions for MEGASCAB LTN and its Constituents

• Do not use cetrimide for a long period and repeatedly as it may cause allergic reactions.
• Cetrimide is for topical use only. Avoid contact with mucous membrane such mouth, nose, ears, anus, or vagina.
• Seek immediate medical attention if you develop severe allergic reactions.
• Consult your doctor if your condition does not improve or worsens after cetrimide application.Tell your doctor if you are or planning to become pregnant or are breastfeeding.
•  Excessive usage may increase the risk of allergic reactions.

Caution should be exercised in patients with history of acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS), seizures, head injury, brain tumor, liver disease, any allergy, who are taking other medications, children, during pregnancy and breast feeding. Sexual partner of the patient should also be treated with this medication in order to avoid spreading or reinfection. Wash your recently used bed sheets, pillow covers and dresses in hot water. Do not touch other people’s skin while using this medication.
