KETONEPH TAB is composed of: LEUCINE (101 MG), VALINE (86 MG), L-LYSINE (75 MG), PHENYLALANINE (68 MG), ISOLEUCINE (67 MG), METHIONINE (59 MG), L-THREONINE (53 MG), L-HISTIDINE HYDROCHLORIDE (38 MG), TYROSINE (30 MG), TRYPTOPHAN (23 MG)






Methionine is an amino acid. Amino acids are the building blocks that our bodies use to make proteins. Methionine is found in meat, fish, and dairy products, and it plays an important role in many cell functions.Methionine works by removing harmful breakdown products of paracetamol in the liver.


Tyrosine is an amino acid, which is a building block of protein that occurs naturally in the body. Tyrosine can also be found in certain foods such as meat, fish, eggs, dairy products, beans, nuts, oats, and wheat.Some people have low levels of tyrosine in their bodies because of a hereditary condition called phenylketonuria.Tyrosine is given as a supplement to increase tyrosine levels in people with PKU.

KETONEPH TAB is generally taken With Food.

Precautions for KETONEPH TAB and its Constituents







  • You should not take more of methionine, or take it more often, than your doctor ordered.
  • You should also make sure that you get enough protein in your diet. This is especially important in infants. Infants who get too much racemethionine and not enough protein may not gain weight as they should.
  • Take methionine with, or just after, meals.
  • If you are unable to swallow the capsule, the contents may be added to juice, water, or warm milk or infant formula.
  • Use a specially marked measuring spoon or other device to measure each dose accurately. The average household teaspoon may not hold the right amount of liquid.
  • Do not double doses.
  • Do not keep outdated medicine or medicine no longer needed.
  • If your rash has not improved after 10 days, check with your doctor.Tell your doctor if you are have liver disorder, mental disorder such as schizophrenia, taking levodopa for Parkinsonism or taking any other medication.
  • Do not drive or operate heavy machinery as methionine can cause drowsiness.
  • Tell your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to get pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • Do take if  allergic to methionine or any of its ingredients.
  • Do not take if having metabolic acidosis.
  • Patients with more than 10 hours of paracetamol overdose.



  • You should not use Tyrosine,if you are allergic to it.
  • Follow all directions on the product label and package.
  • Do not use this product without medical advice if you are pregnant.
  • Do not give any herbal/health supplement to a child without medical advice.
  • Do not use more of this product than is recommended on the label.

METHIONINE : Liver Cirrhosis, Schizophrenia, Atherosclerosis, Confusion, Disorientation, Agitation
TYROSINE : Difficulty Breathing, Face Swelling, Swollen Lips, Hands Swelling
