ELDEP M 12.5MG/2MG TAB is composed of: IMIPRAMINE (12.5 MG), DIAZEPAM (2.0 MG)

Imipramine is a tricyclic antidepressant. Imipramine affects chemicals in the brain that may be unbalanced in people with depression. Imipramine is used to treat symptoms of depression. Imipramine is sometimes used to treat bed-wetting in children ages 6 and older.

Diazepam is a benzodiazepine. It affects chemicals in the brain that may be unbalanced in people with anxiety. Diazepam is used to treat anxiety disorders, alcohol withdrawal symptoms, or muscle spasms. Diazepam is sometimes used with other medications to treat seizures.

ELDEP M 12.5MG/2MG TAB is generally taken Before Food.

Precautions for ELDEP M 12.5MG/2MG TAB and its Constituents


Caution should be exercised in patients with history of increased eye pressure, prostate enlargement, difficulty in urinating, seizures, overactive thyroid, liver, kidney or heart disease, any allergy, who are taking other medications, during pregnancy and breast feeding. It may cause drowsiness or dizziness, do not drive a car or operate machinery while taking this medication. Avoid alcohol consumption and smoking while taking this medication. Avoid exposure to sunlight; otherwise it may cause skin sensitivity. Patient may develop Serotonin Syndrome with the following symptoms: increased heart rate, shivering, sweating, dilated pupils.

Caution should be exercised in patients with history of heart or blood vessel disease, high blood pressure, overactive thyroid gland, diabetes, seizures, drug abuse, any allergy, who are taking other medications, elderly, children, during pregnancy and breastfeeding. It may cause drowsiness, dizziness or blurred vision, do not drive a car or operate machinery while taking this medication. Avoid alcohol consumption. It may affect blood sugar level; monitor sugar level regularly while taking this medication.

IMIPRAMINE over-dosage can result in: Drowsiness, Irregular Heartbeat, Fainting, Seizures (uncontrollable Jerking Of Limbs)
DIAZEPAM over-dosage can result in: Drowsiness, Loss Of Balance, Fainting

IMIPRAMINE : Diarrhoea, Dry Mouth, Eyes Blurred Vision, Head Headache, Drowsiness, Dizziness, Constipation, Nausea, Vomit, Loss Of Appetite, Weight Gain, Body Excessive Sweating
DIAZEPAM : Hives, Skin Rash, Legs Shaking, Loss Of Coordination, Chest Pain, Irregular Heartbeat, Palpitations (fluttering In Chest), Eyes Blurred Vision, Dizziness, Anxiety, Vomit, Constipation, Nausea, Pain With Urination, Difficulty Breathing, Frequent Urination
