DUOLIN RESPULE is a Schedule H drug.

DUOLIN RESPULE is composed of: IPRATROPIUM (500 MCG), SALBUTAMOL (1.25 MG)

Ipratropium is a bronchodilator that relaxes muscles in the airways and increases airflow to the lungs. Ipratropium inhalation is used to prevent bronchospasm, or narrowing airways in the lungs, in people with bronchitis, emphysema, or COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease).

Salbutamol is a bronchodilator. It works by relaxing the muscles in the airways and widens airways. This makes breathing easier. Salbutamol is used in the treatment of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

Usage

IPRATROPIUM is generally used to treat: Bronchospasm Cough, Bronchitis, Emphysema, COPD

SALBUTAMOL is generally used to treat: Asthma, COPD

DUOLIN RESPULE is generally taken Before Food.

Precautions for DUOLIN RESPULE and its Constituents


Caution should be exercised in patients with history of increased eye pressure, enlarged prostate, urinary obstruction, any allergy, during pregnancy and breastfeeding. It may cause dizziness, do not drive a car or operate machinery while taking this medication. Avoid contact with eyes. Flush with water immediately if eye contact occurs. Patients on nebulisation should wear an eye mask to avoid the risk of acute angle closure glaucoma.
Caution should be exercised in patients with history of heart disease, high blood pressure, or congestive heart failure, a heart rhythm disorder; epilepsy, diabetes, overactive thyroid, kidney problems, adrenal gland tumor, who are taking other medications, any allergy, elderly, children, during pregnancy and breastfeeding. It may cause dizziness, do not drive a car or operate machinery while taking this medication. An inhaler should not be given to a child younger than 4 years old. salbutamol solution in a nebulizer should not be given to a child younger than 2 years of age.

IPRATROPIUM : Blood Or Red Colored Urine, Cough, Pain With Urination, Difficulty Breathing, Frequent Urination, Lower Back Pain, Shortness Of Breath, Tightness, Wheezing, Body Pain, Chills, Fever, Head Headache, Runny Nose, Sneezing, Throat Soreness, Fatigue (tiredness), Weakness (generalized)
SALBUTAMOL : Anxiety, Flu, Head Headache, Dry Mouth, Palpitations (fluttering In Chest), Difficulty Sleeping, Dizziness, Drowsiness, Slow Heart Rate (pulse), Chest Pain, Nausea, Vomit, Cough

Serious Side-Effects

IPRATROPIUM : Rapid Heart Rate (pulse), Pain With Urination, Eyes Pain, Eyes Blurred Vision

Rare Side-Effects

IPRATROPIUM : Skin Rash, Hives, Constipation, Abdomen Pain, Fainting, Irregular Heartbeat, Eyes Pain, Face Swelling
