ZYTANIX 2.5MG TAB is composed of: METOLAZONE (2.5 MG)

Metolazone is a thiazide diuretic (water pill) that helps prevent your body from absorbing too much salt, which can cause fluid retention. Metolazone is used to treat fluid retention (edema) in people with congestive heart failure, or a kidney disorder such as nephrotic syndrome. Metolazone is also used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension).

Precautions for ZYTANIX 2.5MG TAB and its Constituents


Caution should be exercised in patients with history of lupus, kidney or liver disease, low blood mineral levels, gout, any allergy, who are taking other medications, during pregnancy and breastfeeding. It may cause drowsiness, dizziness, blurred vision or lightheadedness, do not drive a car or operate machinery while taking this medication. Avoid alcohol consumption. Avoid exposure to sunlight. Monitor liver function, kidney function, and complete blood cell counts regularly while taking this medication.

Symptoms of Overdosage

METOLAZONE over-dosage can result in: Difficulty Breathing, Fainting, Weakness (generalized), Dizziness, Drowsiness, Dry Mouth, Increased Thirst, Lightheadedness

METOLAZONE : Diarrhoea, Dizziness, Lightheadedness, Head Headache, Eyes Blurred Vision, Loss Of Appetite, Abdomen Upset Stomach, Constipation, Weakness (generalized), Confusion, Dry Mouth, Increased Thirst, Nausea, Vomit, Irregular Heartbeat, Fainting, Seizures (uncontrollable Jerking Of Limbs)
