PILOMAX FC-TAB is composed of: PILOCARPINE (5 MG)

Pilocarpine reduces the amount of fluid in the eye, which decreases pressure inside the eye.
Pilocarpine is used in the treatment of dry mouth after radiotherapy of head and neck cancer.Pilocarpine is a cholinergic agonist. It works by stimulating certain nerves and glands in your body thereby increasing the production of saliva, tears, sweat, digestive juices and other secretions.

Usage

PILOCARPINE is generally used to treat: Glaucoma, Sjogren’s Syndrome

Precautions for PILOMAX FC-TAB and its Constituents


  • You should not use this medication if you are allergic to pilocarpine, or if you have uveitis or pupillary block glaucoma.
  • Do not allow the dropper tip to touch any surface, including the eyes or hands.
  • Avoid using any other eye medications your doctor has not prescribed.
  • Use this medication exactly as prescribed by your doctor.
  • Do not use it in larger amounts or for longer than recommended.
  • Follow the directions on your prescription label.Wash your hands before using the eye drops.
  • Do not use the eye drops if the liquid has changed colors or has particles in it.
  • Do not use extra medicine to make up the missed dose.
  • Take this medication regularly to get the most benefit from it.
  • You may continue to drink water or use saliva substitutes as needed for moisture in your mouth.

Symptoms of Overdosage

PILOCARPINE over-dosage can result in: Slow Heart Rate (pulse), Body Excessive Sweating, Nausea, Wheezing, Vomit, Confusion, Loose Motion
