INSUMAN COMB 25/75 INJ is composed of: INSULIN ASPART (75 %), SOLUBLE INSULIN (25 %)

Insulin is a hormone that works by lowering levels of glucose (sugar) in the blood. Insulin aspart is a fast-acting insulin that starts to work about 15 minutes after injection, peaks in about 1 hour and keeps working for 2 to 4 hours. Insulin aspart is used to improve blood sugar control in adults and children with diabetes mellitus. insulin aspart is sometimes used together with a long-acting or intermediate-acting insulin. Insulin aspart is used to treat type 2 diabetes in adults.
Insulin aspart is also used to treat type 1 diabetes in adults and children who are at least 2 years old.

Precautions for INSUMAN COMB 25/75 INJ and its Constituents


Avoid changing the type of insulin, without health care provider’s advice. It may harm liver or kidney functions. Monitor serum glucose, potassium, electrolytes, HbA1c and lipid profile regularly. Precautions should be taken during concomitant illness especially infections low level potassium in blood. Change the injection site within the same area. Developing a fever or infection, eating significantly more than prescribed, or missing your dose of insulin may cause high blood sugar (hyperglycemia). Caution should be exercised in patients with history of liver disease, nerve problems, adrenal, pituitary or thyroid problems, diabetic ketoacidosis, alcoholism, smoking habit, any allergy, who are taking other medications, during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

INSULIN ASPART over-dosage can result in: Drowsiness, Confusion, Eyes Blurred Vision, Mouth Tingling, Slurred Speech, Seizures (uncontrollable Jerking Of Limbs)
