Fludrocortisone is in a class of drugs called steroids. Fludrocortisone prevents the release of substances in the body that cause inflammation. Fludrocortisone is used to treat conditions in which the body does not produce enough of its own steroids, such as Addison’s disease, and salt-losing adrenogenital syndrome.

Precautions for FLORICOT 0.1MG TAB and its Constituents


If you have a fungal infection (other than on your skin), avoid this medication. Caution should be exercised in patients with history of liver, kidney, intestinal, or heart disease, diabetes, underactive thyroid gland, high blood pressure, mental illness, myasthenia gravis, osteoporosis, herpes eye infection, seizures, tuberculosis (TB), ulcers, during pregnancy and breastfeeding. It may affect blood sugar level, monitor blood sugar level regularly. Avoid alcohol consumption.

FLUDROCORTISONE over-dosage can result in: Weight Gain, Shortness Of Breath, Confusion, Irregular Heartbeat, Increased Thirst, Frequent Urination, Arms Pain, Weakness (generalized)
