Procyclidine is a muscle relaxing medication. It works by decreasing the activity of excess acetylcholine in the brain. This improves muscle control and reduces stiffness. It helps patients with Parkinson’s disease by improving muscle control and reducing stiffness so that they can move more naturally. It is also used to treat movement disorder (restlessness, involuntary movements or muscle spasm ) which can be caused by certain drugs. Procyclidine has used in Parkinson’s disease and drug-induced abnormal movements.

Precautions for DINE 5MG TAB and its Constituents


Caution should be exercised in patients with history of increased eye pressure, prostate enlargement, low blood pressure, mental illness, irregular heartbeat, ulcers, intestinal inflammation, difficulty in urinating, heart, kidney, liver, lung, nervous system, or thyroid disease, any allergy, who are taking other medications, during pregnancy and breastfeeding. It may cause dizziness, drowsiness or blurred vision, do not drive a car or operate machinery while taking this medication. Avoid abrupt withdrawal. Avoid becoming over heated in hot weather; drink plenty of fluids to keep your body in cool.

PROCYCLIDINE over-dosage can result in: Irregular Heartbeat, Slow Or Irregular Breathing, Loss Of Coordination, Fever, Eyes Enlarged (dilated) Pupils, Confusion, Hallucinations
