  • If you have an allergy to adenosine or any other part of adenosine ask your doctor
  • If you are allergic to any drugs like this one, any other drugs, foods, or other substances. Tell your doctor about the allergy and what signs you had, like rash, hives, itching shortness of breath, wheezing, cough, swelling of face, lips, tongue, or throat; or any other signs.
  • If you have health problems, certain types of abnormal heartbeats (heart block, sick sinus syndrome) without a working pacemaker.
  • Discuss with doctor if you have any of these health problems like Asthma or other breathing problems like COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease)

Food Interactions


Ask your doctor before using adenosine together with caffeine. Using these medications together can decrease the effects of adenosine. It is recommended that caffeine including caffeine be avoided for 12 to 24 hours before adenosine administration.
