High blood pressure, also known as hypertension which affects millions also includes teens and children. An ideal BP level for an adult is less than or equal to 120/80. High blood pressure is 140/90 or higher. Various stages of hypertension are:
* Normal: less than 120/80
* Prehypertension: 120/80 to 139/89
* High BP Stage 1: 140/90 to 159/99
* High BP Stage 2: 160/100 or higher
* Crisis (Emergency): more than 180/110
High BP may silently damage (may lead to death) your body before symptoms develop. If left uncontrolled it may lead to disability, poor quality of life, other health problems or fatal heart attack. There are many causes for high BP like overweight, improper diet, eating too much salt, family history with BP, drinking too much alcohol.
Preventive measures include maintaining proper body weight, healthy diet, reduction in salt and sodium intake, quitting smoking and alcohol, regular exercise, reduce stress, regular BP monitoring. If you are prescribed with BP medicines please follow doctor’s instructions without fail.

We also keep publishing articles related to Blood Pressure and other conditions on management. We also publish useful tips which may be helpful for you and family members on blood pressure.
Track your Blood Pressure values:
You can go to vital charts section of App and select blood pressure chart. Please start adding your blood pressure whenever you measure it on the app and store them forever. Track how it has been improving over time. You can also track your weight. Reducing your weight is also key to staying healthy including managing your blood pressure.
Upload all your records related to blood pressure on the app in Records section and see the magic. They will be digitized by our clinicians and you will see all your blood pressure values written on prescriptions coming up automatically in the charts. You would also start getting reminders automatically if there are any active treatment in prescription (we will not set reminders for older prescriptions, but you can always set your own reminders). Of course, since all your records are kept safe at one place you or your doctor can refer to them whenever be the need.
