Prevention Tips

As prevention is always better than cure, Simple hygiene measures can help to prevent infection with the viruses that cause colds. These measures include:
  • Hand washing is an essential and highly effective way to prevent the spread of infection.
  • Cover noses and mouths while sneezing and coughing
  • Avoid sharing things with an infected person
  • Be hygienic and keep the surroundings clean
  • Throw away used tissues

Watch Out

  • Wheezing(abnormal sounds of breathing)
  • Chest pain
  • Ear ache

When to See Doctor

Consult a doctor if your child experiences the following symptoms
  • Coughing with a lot of mucus
  • Shortness of breath
  • Tiredness
  • Intolerable headache, facial or throat pain
  • Chest pain or stomach pain
  • Earache (Pain in ears)
  • High fever
