NALMEFENE is a Schedule H drug.
Synthetic opiate antagonist.Treatment of opiate-induced depression, including respiratory depression, caused by natural and synthetic opiatesThis medication is an opioid receptor antagonist, prescribed for partial reversal of opioid drug effects, alcohol abuse and other addictions.  It works by blocking the opiate receptor sites.

Precautions

  • Caution should be exercised in patients with history of heart, liver or kidney disease, any allergy, elderly, taking pain relievers for more than 2 weeks, during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
  • It may cause dizziness or drowsiness, do not drive a car or operate machinery while taking this medication.
  • You should not use if your allergic to it.

NALMEFENE over-dosage can result in: Difficulty Breathing

NALMEFENE : Itchy Skin, Tachycardia, Blood Pressure, High, Diarrhoea, Irregular Heartbeat, Nausea, Vomit, Dizziness, Drowsiness, Fever, Head Headache, Chills, Dry Mouth, Agitation, Nervousness

NALMEFENE : Urinary Retention, Essential Tremor, Muscle Pain, Joint Pain, Confusion, Abdomen Stomach Cramps
