LUTROPIN ALFA is a Schedule H drug.
This medication is used to help women with fertility problems get pregnant. It is generally used in combination with 2 other hormones (FSH and hCG). Lutropin alfa provides luteinizing hormone (LH), which together with FSH helps your body get an egg ready for ovulation to help you get pregnant.This medication is not recommended for women whose ovaries no longer make eggs properly (primary ovarian failure).

How Do I Take It?

Route of Administration:


  • You should not take Lutropin Alfa,if you are allergic to it.
  • Do not take lutropin alfa if you are pregnant.
  • Do not take lutropin alfa if you are 65 or older.
  • Do not give to a child.
  • Use lutropin alfa as ordered by your doctor.
  • It is given as a shot into the fatty part of the skin.
  • Your doctor may teach you how to give the shot.Follow how to use carefully.
  • Wash your hands before and after use.
  • Do not use if the solution is cloudy, leaking, or has particles.
  • Do not use if solution changes color.
  • Throw away needles in a needle/sharp disposal box.
  • Do not reuse needles or other items. When the box is full, follow all local rules for getting rid of it. Talk with a doctor or pharmacist if you have any questions.

LUTROPIN ALFA : Ovarian Hyperstimulation Syndrome, Breast Pain, Lower Abdomen Pain, Abdomen Bloating Or Fullness, Vagina Bleeding, Lower Abdomen Swelling, Eyes Change In Vision, Slurred Speech, Sudden Numbness Or Weakness On One Side Of Body, Ankles Swelling, Shortness Of Breath, Chest Pain, Weight Gain, Decreased Urination
