Overview
TEMOZOLOMIDE is a Schedule H drug.Temozolomide is a cancer medicine that interferes with the growth and spread of cancer cells in the body. Temozolomide is used together with radiation therapy to treat certain types of brain tumor in adults. Temozolomide is usually given after other cancer medicines have been tried without success. This medication is an anticancer agent, used for brain cancers i.e. anaplastic astrocytoma and glioblastoma multiforme. It is also used for treating melanoma.

How Do I Take It?
Route of Administration: Oral,Precautions
- Do not use temozolomide if you are pregnant. It could harm the unborn baby. Use effective birth control, and tell your doctor if you become pregnant during treatment.
- This medicine may affect fertility in men. Talk to your doctor about your own risk.
- It is not known whether temozolomide passes into breast milk or if it could harm a nursing baby. You should not breast-feed while using this medicine.
- Do not open the temozolomide capsule. Do not use a broken pill. The medicine from an open or broken capsule can be dangerous if it gets in your mouth or nose, or on your skin. If this occurs, rinse thoroughly with water.
- Caution should be exercised in patients with history of liver or kidney disease, pregnancy, elderly greater than 70 yrs, children.
- It may cause dizziness or drowsiness. Do not drive a car or operate machinery while taking this medication.
- This drug may make you dizzy. Alcohol or marijuana can make you more dizzy. Do not drive, use machinery, or do anything that needs alertness until you can do it safely. Limit alcoholic beverages.
