Ketoprofen is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). Ketoprofen works by reducing hormones that cause inflammation and pain in the body. Ketoprofen is used to treat pain or inflammation caused by arthritis. The ketoprofen regular capsule is also used to treat mild to moderate pain or menstrual pain. Only ketoprofen extended-release capsules are used for treating arthritis. It relieves pain and inflammation in conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, osteoarthritis, gout, muscle pain, low back pain and toothache.

Precautions for LUPIFLEX 100MG/8MG TAB and its Constituents


Caution should be exercised in patients with history of high blood pressure, blood disorders, bleeding or clotting problems, heart problems, any allergy, who are taking other medications, during pregnancy and breastfeeding. It may cause dizziness or drowsiness, do not drive a car or operate machinery while taking this medication. Patient may develop with increased risk of heart attack and stroke; if it so consult with your doctor immediately. Avoid excess dosage. Avoid drinking alcohol. It may increase your risk of stomach bleeding. Avoid taking aspirin while you are taking ketoprofen.

Symptoms of Overdosage

KETOPROFEN over-dosage can result in: Nausea, Vomit, Abdomen Pain, Drowsiness, Black (tar) Colored Stools, Bloody Or Red Colored Stools, Slow Or Irregular Breathing, Fainting
