Food and Nutrition
No special diet required. But the foods which are anti-inflammatory, rich in vitamins are good for health.
Avoid meat, alcohol and fried foods.
Yoga and Exercise
Stretching exercises and gentle are good for costochondritis.
- Cardio: This is any exercise that gets your heart rate up. Walking, swimming, hiking, biking, (be aware of your body and do not push positions that cause you more pain).
Music and MeditationMeditation relieves from stress which is also helpful in curing costoshondritis.
If possible avoid any movements that aggravate symptoms.
Use simple painkillers (prior to doctor visit).
Avoid stress, stay warm, be quiet, and take rest (sleep).
