Typhoid is not a serious disease it can be controlled by following certain preventive measures There are two vaccines available. Those who travel to places where typhoid is common should get vaccinated.
  • Maintain proper hygienic conditions
  • Wash your hands properly with hot soapy water
  • Avoid drinking untreated water, drink only bottled water
  • Avoid raw foods
  • Eat foods that have been thoroughly cooked and that are still hot and steaming
  • Avoid foods and beverages from outside vendors
  • Keep Infected people away from household works
  • Properly clean the personal items of the infected individual in order to prevent the spread of the infection
  • Water treatment, waste disposal, and protecting the food supply from contamination are important public health measures
  • The infected person should not share their utensils with anyone, they should not cook, Keep their toilets clean even 6-12 weeks after the infection is over or symptoms are gone. Should not share food.
