Galactorrhea: Treatment, Diet and Home Remedies

Home Remedies

Milky discharge associated with idiopathic galactorrhea goes away on its own, but proper care to be taken to avoid recurrence.
  • Avoid tight-fitting clothing or clothing that causes friction
  • If the galactorrhea is mild and a cause is not found, breast binders may help stop the discharge by preventing stimulation of the nipples
  • Don’t stimulate your nipples during sexual activity.
  • Avoid performing frequent breast self-exams, manipulating your nipples.
  • If a particular drug has caused the condition, that drug may be discontinued and drugs that don’t induce such condition may be used.
