Symptoms

  • Small stones pass without showing symptoms
  • Severe pain in the back, belly or groin
  • Frequent or painful urination

  • Nausea and vomiting

Causes

It occurs when there is a change in normal balance of water, salts, and minerals in the urine. The most common cause is not drinking enough water. Other factors include:
  • Dehydration
  • Medicines sometimes
  • Hereditary  
  • High intake of animal protein, sodium, grape and apple juice, vitamin D, calcium supplements.
  • Medical conditions like cancer or any other kidney disorder.
