Prevention Tips

  • Avoid too much sun exposure
  • Stay Clean. Avoid infection by washing the affected area daily with antibacterial soap.
  • Do not scratch, touch, squeeze or attempt to drain or puncture the cyst
  • Avoid Refined Sugar
  • Get adequate sleep
  • Reduce stress
  • Quit smoking

Watch Out

  • Cysts can get inflamed and become tender to the touch
  • Drainage from the cyst will appear grayish-white and cheese-like and will have a foul smell

When to See Doctor

Consult a doctor if the cyst
  • Grows large and becomes heavy, painful
  • Shows signs of infection such as inflammation and redness, or it becomes hot to the touch
