Foods to be taken
  • Consuming vitamin E, B6, and magnesium rich foods helps in relieving breast pain.
  • Vitamin E rich foods like spinach, broccoli, fish, avocados, pumpkins, papaya, kiwi, olive oil, wheat etc
  • The best sources of vitamin B6 include meat, fish, poultry, organ meats, enriched cereals, nuts, lentils, sweet potato, spinach, carrots, bananas etc
  • Magnesium rich foods like dark leafy vegetables, fish, nuts, brown rice, low fat dairy products etc
  • Get plenty of soluble fiber from vegetable sources, including cruciferous vegetables such as cabbage, broccoli, kale, Brussels sprouts, and turnips

  • Caffeine, chocolate and high fatty foods

Home Remedies

  • Make an ice pack from a plastic bag filled with ice or a bag of peas wrapped in a towel and apply directly to your breasts to find relief
  • A warm compress applied can also relieve the pain
  • Try castor oil packs- Applied to the breasts three times per week for one hour, over two or three months, castor oil packs often eliminate breast pain, particularly if there is swelling of breast tissue
  • Learn self-massage of the chest and breast
  • Wear less-constricting bras whenever possible
