There is no way to prevent appendicitis. However, appendicitis is less common in people who eat foods high in fiber, such as fresh vegetables and fruits.

  • Abscess around a burst appendix
  • Blood in your vomit or urine
  • Painful urination

When to See Doctor

Consult a doctor if you have
  • Severe pain in the abdominal area
  • Fever along with pain
  • Loss of appetite
  • Vomiting
  • Nausea and a lack of appetite with your pain
  • Constipation or diarrhoea
  • An inability to pass gas or stools
